Two Private Equity Firms (Energy Focus): Associates
The targeted background is a second or third year energy investment banking analyst with upstream, midstream, ofs and/or renewables/energy transition experience. Both firms (Houston and NYC) could consider candidates who either want to grow and develop at the organization or are seeking a two-to-three year stint before going to a top 10 MBA program.
Two Family Offices (Generalist Focus): Associates* (one firm might hire Sr. Associate or VP)
Ideal candidates will possess 1-4 years of finance experience. A variety of backgrounds will be considered: investment banking, equity research, corporate banking, consulting (strategy management or restructuring), Big 4 TAS, corporate development and corporate finance, M&A and strategy from an operating company. Both energy and non-energy experience will be considered. Both firms have a collegial and collaborative work environment.
For the firm that will consider a Senior Associate or Vice President, that would be more in the 4-9+ years experience range. Additionally, for that level position prior buy-side experience in private equity, trust company, Endowment or Family Office would be required.
Four Operating Companies: Finance Associate/Senior Associates + Finance Director
Four companies [Three in Houston, one in The Woodlands; three upstream, one OFS; three private and one public] seek to add a Associate/Senior Associate and a Director to their respective Corporate Development, Corporate Finance, FP&A, Strategy and Treasury teams. Sought after candidates will have energy experience from: Investment Banking, Consulting, Equity Research, Corporate Banking or already be working in an FP&A/Corp Dev/Corp Fin/M&A/Strategy/IR role at another energy operating company.
Private Equity Firm: Engineering Associate/Senior Associate
Upstream focused private investment firm looking to add a PE/reservoir engineer. Ideal candidate will have three plus years experience either at an E&P operating company and/or coming from an investment bank or A&D team. Competitive market comp.
Rapidly Growing, Highly Profitable Operating Company: (5 Positions Total): Ranging From
Director of Accounting + Senior Manager, Corporate Finance to Finance Associate
Candidates for the four positions in Corp Dev/Corp Fin/M&A/Strategy will have worked in one or more of these environments: Investment Banking, Consulting, Equity Research, Corporate Banking or at another operating company in groups such as: FP&A/Corp Dev/Corp Fin/M&A/Strategy/IR/Treasury. For the Director of Accounting role, candidates will possess 10+ years of public accounting and/or corporate accounting experience. Deep knowledge of GAAP + Financial Reporting. CPA is required.
Real Estate Development Company
Real Estate client in growing residential segment has asked us to help them recruit an Associate to their team. Candidates should be highly proficient with Excel and PowerPoint. Experience will likely come from: Investment Banking, Consulting, Equity Research, Corporate Banking or an analytically rigorous role at an operating company. Real estate background a plus.
